OPCD Photo Booth

Introducing Iris
Why do I need a professional headshot?
A professional headshot is a key part of your brand and can shape first impressions. In fact, a recent study showed that a polished headshot can increase perceptions of competence by 76% and influence by 62%.
Who can use the photo booth?
The OPCD Photo Booth is available to all WFU students, faculty, and staff, offering a studio-quality photo at no cost.
About
Our self-serve booth in the reception area of the OPCD (Reynolda 230) uses studio-grade lighting and cameras to ensure a high-quality result. You control the process with a real-time preview and unlimited retakes in a private, low-stress environment, helping you get the perfect shot. On average, sessions last three minutes, and 98% of users report being very happy with their photos. The integrated AI editing will then enhance the image. Your final headshot will be sent directly to your WFU email so you can easily update your LinkedIn and Handshake profiles, and more.

How should I pose? Keep your chin down. This will shape your face beautifully. Having your arms straight by your side can look uncomfortable. Cross your arms, place your hands on your hips, etc. Look confident; feel confident. Try removing your glasses to avoid glare. Turn slightly to one side, and drop your shoulder toward the camera. Work your best angles!
What should I wear? Solid colors work best. Avoid white so you don’t blend into the background. If going with a pattern, keep it simple. Start with a simple shirt or blouse and slowly add layers – scarf, jacket, etc. Make sure clothes are well pressed before the shoot. Wrinkles in clothes are difficult to edit out. This type of photo focuses on your faces, so pants and shoes are generally not visible in the frame. Be comfortable! Note: A variety of blazers for both men and women are available at the OPCD office to complete your look.
