Diversity Always Matters is an all-inclusive event that brings students from diverse populations and employers together for career success. This optimal networking opportunity allows students to ask questions of representatives at top-notch organizations and learn about their diversity programs, recruiting initiatives, and potential positions. The Diversity Always Matters event begins with a brief welcome, followed by rounds of networking between students and employers. Organizations from all industries with jobs/internships in a variety of job functions will be included.

Nov. 7, 2024, Noon-4 p.m., Virtual

Thank you for your interest in attending the N.C. Master’s & Doctoral Virtual Career Fair, which will be held on Thursday, November 7, from noon to 4 p.m.

This is the 24th Annual NC Master’s and Doctoral Career Fair hosted by Duke University, NC State University, UNC-Chapel Hill, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Greensboro, and Wake Forest University.

This event continues to grow due to the participation of employers/organizations and the over 500 advanced degree candidates who usually attend each year. It attracts diverse talent throughout the state and region.

Students and scholars from various academic disciplines will attend, including Biochemistry, Biology, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Policy, History, Immunology, Mathematics, Philosophy, Psychology, Statistics, and many more! This is a great opportunity to share opportunities ranging from internships, postdoctoral and full-time positions with Master’s, PhD Candidates, and postdocs.

As part of the fair, organizations receive at no additional cost:

*the option to have as many representatives as you’d like online to host 10-minute one-on-one chat sessions with applicants; each representative will be able to tailor their schedule within the hours of the fair itself

*The option to host 30-minute information sessions within the career fair hours; each information session has a capacity of 50 attendees (the count includes organization representatives and students); you may use the Handshake platform to host the session or provide a link for an external platform (which allows you to surpass the 50 attendee capacity)

Nov. 7, 2024, 1-6 p.m., Virtual

Davidson College, N.C. State, UNC-Chapel Hill, UNC-Wilmington, and Wake Forest University will host the 2024 Graduate & Professional School Day Fair (virtually via Handshake) on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 1 to 6 p.m.

This joint event will allow representatives to set aside one day instead of four at a rate lower than typically paid to participate in each separate event as a way to maximize return on investment (financial and time) for each program participant.

Features organizations will be able to take advantage of (at no additional charge) include:

(1)  An unlimited number of representatives who can do one-on-one 10-minute chat sessions with students; each “chat schedule” is personalized with representatives able to set their schedules (within the career fair time frame) based on their availability;

(2) Thirty-minute information sessions (with a capacity of 50 students per session if you use the Handshake platform, or you may choose to use your own WebEx or Zoom link and have no capacity limit). You select the number of sessions you’d like to host and the times for the sessions.

(3) Or a combination of 1:1 chats and information sessions!
