Bio
Hometown:
I’m from the small town of Bluefield, WV, but I’ve also soaked up the sun living near Cocoa Beach, Florida, and enjoyed the English countryside life for several years in Huntingdon, U.K.
Education Background:
- BS, Business Administration, Rollins College, Winter Park, FL
- MA, Liberal Studies, Wake Forest University
What do you do away from work?
I love to keep life exciting by juggling multiple books simultaneously. I enjoy reading about biblical cosmogony, which explores the universe’s origins according to scripture, eschatology, the study of end-times prophecies, and ancient history.
I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and playing with my two standard poodles. Maintaining my mini farm is a constant adventure, and when I need a break, I enjoy diving into the mysteries of the “Blurry Creatures” podcast.
What you like most about your role:
I enjoy the variety, creativity, and impact marketing brings to a business unit’s success. What I love most about this role is working with my interns and watching them grow their skills as they prepare for their future careers. It’s incredibly rewarding!
What would I tell my college-age self?
Your first job is just the start—you don’t know what you don’t know, so give yourself the freedom to explore! Your interests will evolve, and you never know where you’ll end up. Don’t confine yourself to a box; let your career journey surprise you!
Favorite quote:
“For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance, he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.” -Robert Jastrow (American astronomer, planetary physicist, NASA scientist, and author)
