Juniors
It’s your junior year, and your journey is our priority. Build your skills, refine your professional presence, and gain experience to land opportunities that matter to you. Here is how we can support you:
Boost Your Professional Presence
This is the time to showcase your experiences on and off campus and highlight skills from coursework, summer experiences, and campus organizations.
- Come to Wake Your Resume on Wednesdays to workshop your resume – register on Handshake.
- Make an appointment to work on your resume with your coach in the OPCD
- Drop in for help when it fits your schedule: Monday – Thursday, 1:30 – 4:30
Find and Land Your Next Summer Experience
Internships and summer experience help students land jobs and gain access to graduate school.
- Go to events that match your interests: career fairs, information sessions, and graduate school prep sessions. Also, check the OPCD website and register on Handshake for updates.
- Connect with your coach. OPCD coaches can help you find opportunities that matter to you. Coaches can help you set up saved searches on LinkedIn and Handshake so you get alerts on the latest opportunities.
- Practice, practice, practice. To be ready to nail the interview, schedule a mock interview with a coach or practice on your own using InterviewPrep.
Build Your Skills
Need new skills or more experience? Do a project for name-brand companies and earn a skill-based certification or a paid micro-internship.
