Diversity Resources for Students
Organizations are increasingly looking for leaders and employees who can work well with people from a variety of backgrounds. Savvy organizations and students see a globalizing economy and demographic trends toward increased multiculturalism in the States. Below are resources for students from diverse backgrounds, for women, and for the LGBTQIA community. Students may be interested in a resource because it represents a piece of their own background and identity. Or they may be interested because they want to work in a setting that promotes diversity.

Resources for underrepresented populations and women
The Equal Opportunity Publications online career center has thousands of job listings, in all areas of work from skill labor to sales, design, business development and more. Their website also lists Career Expos for diverse groups, women, and people with disabilities.
Diversity Search works directly with employers who want to showcase opportunities within their diverse company cultures. Check here for a broad listing of jobs, many within the tech industry.

Diversity Employers provides career and self-development information to all minorities, including African Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, Latino/Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and women.

The Islamic Society of North America’s career page holds information on current job openings at both ISNA and other organizations.
LatPro works to connect Hispanic and bilingual professionals with employers throughout the Americas.
Resources for women
The Feminist Jobs Board is a high-traffic site for women and feminist job seekers. Check their site or join their email list serve to hear about opportunities for values-based and advocacy work across a variety of domains. Organizing, Development, Policy, and STEM jobs are just a few of the focus areas.
Quintessential careers hosts this page which has a variety of networking organizations for women, including groups for women in computing, trade, communications and more.
Resources for the LGBTQIA community
- Human Resource Campaign
The Human Rights Campaign uses a Corporate Equity Index to measure an organization’s climate. They publish a list of Best Places to Work each year, along with remarks from organizations about their individual LGBTQIA-policies.

Deaf Linx is a comprehensive site that fights “audism,” and includes information about education and professional organizations for those with deafness or hearing loss.
This jobs board posts 250,000 open positions at any given time. Check here for comprehensive lists of postings, open to individuals across the spectrum of ability. You can easily view by company or job type.
