Jack Murray, a 2017 accounting graduate, works in EY’s Valuation, Modeling & Economics group where he does valuation and financial modeling for strategic, financial reporting, and taxation purposes.

 

What advice would you give students who have an interest in consulting?

Network with people in different consulting/advisory functions and really get an understanding of what people do in their roles. Be true to what you think you would like and not like.

Accounting and finance courses; internships

Be targeted in who you network with and maintain relationships with people.

 

What specific advice would you give to students regarding effective interviewing?

Prepare adequately and have quality questions to ask interviewers.
