Have an initial understanding/point of view as to why it is you want to go into consulting, but be open to adding more fodder to that initial thought as you learn more about it from conversations/interactions.

Less is more — better to build meaningful relationships and have non-generic conversations.

 

What specific advice would you give to students regarding effective interviewing?

Add a practical lens to your recommendation. Understand what the ramifications are for acting on the insights that you’ve highlighted at the end of the interview.
